Many advantages not only in wind and weather - work jackets with softshell
The Softshell jacket as a work jacket makes quite an impression. The material's stretch properties make it very comfortable to wear and make many work movements less problematic. Even in the shoulder area or at the zip, the cut can be more ergonomic. The work jacket made of softshell thus acts like a second skin and transports a feel-good effect to the respective workplace. The Softshell jacket gets a neat, clean look from its outer appearance and appears very noble without losing any of its functionality.
As a purely functional jacket, quite like an outdoor jacket, the softshell work jacket fulfils a wide range of functional criteria.
KÜBLER softshell jackets: Windproof but highly breathable
Without a doubt, there is always a consensus between windproofness or waterproofness and breathability. A windproof work jacket is always water-repellent at the same time, but it only becomes waterproof with a high-quality membrane, and this is ideally suited to the softshell material of the work jacket. Softshell jackets use the properties of the material to keep them breathable, but still offer windproof work jackets with different water columns. The water column describes the water pressure that may prevail in order to describe the softshell jacket as waterproof. In Germany, a waterproof softshell jacket is one with a water column of 1,500 mm. When looking at the water pressure, however, it must be noted that a person lying down with a body weight of 80 kg exerts a water pressure distribution of at least 1,000 mm on the material; this is correspondingly higher with water pressure distribution on the sleeves or shoulders alone (up to 5,000 mm). This is why we at KÜBLER Workwear have decided to use the protection standard EN 343 as a guideline. Accordingly, we only speak of waterproof work jackets when the converted water column exceeds 8,000 mm - below this, all softshelljackets, work jackets or also work trousers are merely described as water-repellent.
